Still Looking....

I am still looking for that new publisher. My old one has definitely cratered and has returned all my rights to my book to me. The world of writing and publishing is a difficult one... hard to get through the doors. Oh well, I will keep plugging along and will keep you posted as to my progress...
It's amazing how one publisher will love the book you have written and the next one just rips it apart... that is the difference between proof readers and editors. No one wants to agree with someone else's opinion.

Greetings all....
I know it has been a long time since I posted here but I have been in limbo for awhile. I have to come back to earth and decide what to do next as I have bad news.
My publisher has decided to sell his business and give me back the rights to my book. I guess the cover art belongs to them so I have to remove it from my blog.
Any suggestions out there? Once I have the letter from the publisher that releases my book I will submit it to several other publishers and see if I can revive it that way.
I am very disappointed as I was counting on this publisher and it looks like it will be closed now.... oh well... the problems of the world.
I will keep you posted....

I'm still here

I'm still here... just to let you know that even though I have not posted here for awhile I am still here!

I have been going through a dry spell with my writing and am trying to compose my thoughts as to how to start again and get another book out there. I have more than one story running around in my head but am finding it hard to sit down and concentrate on one. What I need is to find some discipline. Does anyone know where I can find some?

Ha ha! I will sit down soon and start on the one most complete in my head.

I have been doing a lot of reading though. I am totally enthralled with historical romances, especially eighteen hundreds England. I have two stories in those settings running around in my head but have a problem with the language of the time so have been reading to try to form a type of language in my own mind that I could use in writing the books.

What do you think? Does the readership out there need another historical romance? Try a young lady who is being "sold" by her father to a reprehensible old lecher that is rescued by a duke who has liked her since she was a child. He marries her to help her but also to get his mother off his back who has been trying to get him married for several years. The only problem is that his mother has already accepted a betrothal on his behalf and has accepted part of the dowry to pay off her gambling debts. Needless to say the mother is not impressed when her son brings his wife home and mother has the new betrothal waiting to meet him.

Does that sound like something that might interest your literary delights?

Happy spring!
